Jesus gave the church in Sardis this stern warning: "Wake up!" The church at Sardis appeared to be alive, but it was dying. Jesus wanted them to remember the truth and repent so they would not be caught off guard on the Last Day. Yet a few people in Sardis had remained pure. Jesus promised these believers that they would walk with Him because they were found worthy.
