My youngest daughter, Kerri, plays on Wednesday at Hillcrest Christian School against L.A.B. at 3:30 PM… and then my oldest daughter, Kayla, plays at CSUN on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM… Maybe I’ll see YOU at one or both of the games…..

The Cal State Northridge women’s basketball team plays its second exhibition contest Wednesday as it hosts The Master’s College in The Matadome at 7 PM. Several Matadors put on impressive performances in the exhibition opener against Love and Basketball, including notable debuts from their newcomers.
Junior Kayla Rutherford, who sat out last season as she transferred from Hope International, led the team with 20 points, including four 3-pointers, against Love and Basketball. She also chipped in two assists and three steals in 31 minutes of action.
Another newcomer, freshman Bridgette Conejo, added six points and five rebounds, four of which were offensive, in 15 minutes off the bench. Freshman Neeta SreeKanth added two rebounds and two steals in 16 minutes of play.
Despite losing 81-72, Northridge played hard on both offense and defense, as they forced 23 turnovers and scored 43 points in the second half of the contest. The Matadors reached 70 points only twice during the 2007-08 season.
