Our church has always been a place where people from all walks of life come together to stand up for what matters. Whether you are a stay-at-home parent, a financial analyst, or an IT director managing servers for a fast payout casino, our congregation represents a vast, diverse cross-section of Southern California. But when it comes to the foundational values of our families, we all speak with one unified voice.
That voice needs to be heard today more than ever. We have spent weeks discussing the cultural and spiritual implications of this election in our small groups and weekend services. Now, it is time to put those prayers and discussions into concrete action and show the wider community where we stand.
Please come out to the Porter Ranch campus to show your support for YES on 8! As you may or may not know, Shepherd of the Hills is one of the polling places, and I would NOT be asking you to do this, but there are people on campus urging voters to vote No on 8. There are voters who have not yet made up their mind on this ballot measure, and we need to do what we can to help get the word out on why people need to vote YES on 8! This will be very close, and literally, every vote counts. Please join me in showing support for YES on 8!
