A recent Pew Research Center study found that about 64 percent of Americans identify as Christian. Fifty years ago, that number was 90 percent. In a few decades, it is predicted that the Christian population in the U.S. will dip under 50 percent. Yet we find in God’s Word the instruction manual to keep the Gospel going. Are we as modern-day Christians taking heed? In 2 Timothy 2:1-10 Paul tells his young apprentice about the qualities every believer needs to possess in order to ensure that the Gospel continues and doesn’t end with the present generation! Pastor Dudley Rutherford preaches on the exhortation Paul gave Timothy to take the truth he heard from Paul and entrust it to other reliable believers…who will, in turn, teach others. Let’s do our part in sharing it with others today…for the sake of the elect, that all people can obtain salvation!
