Have you forgotten your first love? Have you drifted away from the Lord? Pastor Mike Burnette teaches from Revelation chapter 1, Christ’s letter to the churches. We learn that Jesus cares about the church; He carries the church; and He is walking among them. Jesus sees what we are doing and our good works. He notices and He is proud. However, if we are not serving out of an overflow of love for Jesus, then it’s a loveless relationship. It becomes mere religion. Jesus died on the cross to do away with religion, so there’s no place for pharisees in the Kingdom of God anymore. Do you truly know and love the God you serve? Jesus calls us back to basics…to remember our redemption, repent, and return to our first love.
