Blessed are the Merciful

Mercy is when someone in a stronger position extends help to someone in a weaker position. It’s foregoing an opportunity to take vengeance, punish, or humiliate someone who deserves such a penalty. Pastor Dudley Rutherford preaches a message on Matthew 5:7, “Blessed are the merciful,” and teaches how mercy is mimicking God and giving grace to those who don’t deserve it. Mercy is pictured in the parable of the Good Samaritan, and it’s perfected by God’s great mercy toward all of us!
