Life and history are full of surprises—both good and bad. One example in history was the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. As American soldiers slept, or were just getting up, on a Sunday morning, December 7, 1941, the Japanese rained down bombs on Pearl Harbor, killing more than 2,400 people. Despite a couple of warnings ahead of time that went ignored, we were totally unprepared. God’s Word is also full of surprises.
