King Hezekiah

King Hezekiah, who reigned in Israel around 700 B.C., is known for two good things and one bad thing. First, we see in 2 Kings 18:2-7 that he trusted in the Lord, got rid of idolatry in the land, and was successful because of the hand of God. Second, God healed him and extended his life by 15 years even though he was on the verge of death. However, in the end, Hezekiah was tempted by pride and lost everything. His story teaches us that everything we have comes from God and that our humble surrender to God is essential for a blessed life.
