As Christians, we are not citizens on earth trying to get to Heaven; we are citizens of Heaven just living on earth. First Peter 1:13-2:3 gives us three important instructions for living out our faith in the midst of a worldly culture. Pastor Dudley Rutherford begins by outlining the five levels of persecution we will face as believers, and then he teaches on Peter’s instructions that are so relevant today: 1.) Don’t give up or conform to the world; 2.) Don’t forget what Jesus did for you; and 3.) Don’t neglect the Word of God. Most importantly, be holy, be loving, and be hungry!
