“Waiting” For the Christ of Christmas ~ Pastor Dudley Rutherford

Two important figures that Nativity scenes miss are Simeon and Anna in Luke 2:25-40. Both were filled with the Holy Spirit and anticipating the arrival of the Messiah. Simeon was waiting for the consolation of Israel, while Anna was waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem. Both recognized that the infant child Jesus was the Christ and greatly rejoiced! What are you waiting for this Christmas? Whether your heart is in need of comfort or forgiveness, let Jesus in and He will do both!
