Jesus gave the church in Sardis this stern warning: “Wake up!” The church at Sardis appeared to be alive, but it was dying. Jesus wanted them to remember the truth and repent so they would not be caught off guard on the Last Day. Yet a few people in Sardis had remained pure. Jesus promised these believers that they would walk with Him because they were found worthy. In our fifth message of the Seven Churches in Revelation series, Dr. Jerry Taylor reminds us that Jesus Christ specializes in reviving and resuscitating those things that have been declared dead. He encourages us to honor the Lord not only with our mouths but also with our hearts and actions…even if it should cost us everything.
