Our fourth church in “The Seven Churches in Revelation” series is Thyatira, the corrupted church. Thyatira was a growing church with love, faith, service, and perseverance. Yet Jesus Christ said He had one thing against this church: Thyatira tolerated the teachings of Jezebel, which was full of deceit and sexual immorality. The prophetic message to the church today is that it takes just one person to corrupt an entire church. We cannot tolerate sexual immorality. Christ’s church must be pure. And to those who overcome, He promises to give authority over all nations as well as the morning star!
