Jesus said that to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself are the two most important commandments. A teacher of the law agreed with Him, saying, “[these are] more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices” (Mark 12:28-34). Jesus responded that this lawyer was near to the Kingdom of God.
