One More Night With the Frogs

Pastor Dudley highlights a curious detail in Exodus 8 when Pharaoh was confronted with a plague of frogs because he would not let God’s people go. Pharaoh had the opportunity to ask Moses to pray and end the plague right there and then, but instead he said, “Tomorrow.” Why on earth would he want the entire country to endure a massive infestation of slippery, slimy frogs for one more night? And yet, that is exactly what we often do with our sin—we want to hold onto it for just a little while longer. But salvation, obedience, and putting our trust in the Lord are for today because tomorrow is not guaranteed.
